Poptropolis games walkthrough written
You aim your bow with the mouse. When you aim, make sure you pay attention to the wind speed and direction. If the wind is blowing to the left, you move your mouse to the right. How much you move it depends on the wind speed. There are two bars in the power meter, one that moves and another that stays still in the center. Try and shoot your arrow when the moving bar is close to the one in the middle.
To shoot your arrow, just click your mouse. In the diving event you have three routines that you have to do. The routines are made up of different spins that your Poptropican has to do. There are arrows on the bottom left hand corner of the screen that show you which direction your Poptropican needs to spin.
Your Poptropican will spin in the direction of your cursor, so put your cursor to the right of your Poptropican to make it spin to the right. Put your cursor to the left of your Poptropican to make it spin to the left. In the hurdles event you race against two other representatives. You have to click to jump over the hurdles. That way you get a better hang of the timing of the jumps. The others will trip every now and then, too, so you still have a chance if you do trip.
Just try not to be distracted by the other two representatives and just try your best. In the javelin event, you have to set the angle and power of your javelin so that it flies far. To set the angle, click when your javelin is in the green zone. To set the power, click when the bar reaches the green zone.
If the bar goes into the red zone, your Poptropican will run off and fall down onto the ground. So, make sure that you click before the bar reaches the red zone. In the long jump, the goal is to jump farther than any of the other representatives. Click your mouse and hold it when you are ready to start running.
Try and jump when you reach 1. That will add a little extra distance to your jump. Try not to click too soon, though. In the pole vault event, there will be a countdown and your Poptropican will begin running. Click to start the vault. A little bar will appear to the left of your Poptropican.
Your Poptropican will soar into the air, over the bar, and down on the other side. If you do that right, then you should get in first. The game begins when the octopus serves to you from across the net, and you have to volley it back and forth, being careful not to drop it on your side a point is awarded whenever the ball drops on the other side.
The angle the ball bounces off of you is based entirely on where it hits you. If it lands on top of your head, it will bounce straight into the air. In the power lifting event, you have to click on a moving button. Each time you click on the button your Poptropican will lift the bar a little bit higher.
Make sure that you are on the button when you click. There are four rounds, with a short break in between each to give your fingers time to rest. The number in the middle counts down the seconds left to go in total, not for each round. For the Shot Put event, there are two things that you have to do. The first thing you have to do is choose your angle. There are three arrows. Try to get each arrow in the green zone. The second thing that you have to do is to click when all the arrows that are going around in the circle are in the green zone.
In this Volcano Race event, the idea is to get to the bottom of the lava slope as fast as you can. Every time you slide through the torch slalom gates, it subtracts a second from your time count, so go through them as much as you can! What you do want to avoid are the stones and statues that can get in the way of your path and will add to your total time.
Also, look for the little slopes that help you sail over obstacles and land you in front of torch gates. The best way to make sure that you hit gates and avoid obstacles is actually to go off jumps! Triple Jump is the last event in the Poptropolis Games. Once you make it past the first two blocks, the last jump should determine your score, so land well. Remember, you can always restart the island if you want to. Anyway, once you have completed all of the events, the announcer dude will announce the winner of the Games.
If you win, you will receive the island medallion and some credits to spend in the Poptropica Store. You have now completed Poptropolis Games Island! Once you beat the Poptropolis Games, the ground will begin to shake.
An ancient warrior, a past winner of the Games, will come in. He will call you a fraud and challenge you to a wrestling match.
There are three different tiles. Each tile is a different shape. Win more rounds than the Ancient Warrior to beat him. Looking for more walkthroughs?

If you miss a little with one of the earlier clicks, you can adjust for it with the next one. Your final angle of throw will be the dotted line. Next comes the power setting. Your goal here is to click when all three dials are in the green zone. The easiest way is to watch the outer ring, which is moving the slowest.
Every other revolution of the outer dial will produce a brief moment when all three are lined up in the green. This is at the precise moment when the outer ring is at the very top. It happens in a split-second, but click right then! You get three attempts and your longest distance of the three counts as your final score.
The final event is the triple jump. Click and hold the mouse button to begin. Release as soon as you get to the first white line. Then quickly click again each time you land for the next two jumps. Following all the events, the official results will be revealed. If you win, you get the island medallion! Paid Members can play a bonus quest after winning the island medallion. The ground shakes and then an ancient Poptropolis Games champion appears and he challenges you to a wrestling match.
In this game, he will make an attack move and you must quickly respond with the correct defensive move. The correct move is based on the shapes. Each of the tribes of Poptropica sends a representative to compete across a series of grueling events for a chance to become the Champion of Poptropica.
Do you have what it takes to vanquish the competition and win glory for your tribe? As you enter the island, you will be made to choose which team you will represent.
This will have no bearing on the games ahead, so pick whatever team you like. After choosing your team, just make your way to the right until you get to the coliseum. After a brief pregame ceremony, talk to the host of the games to pick the event you want to take part in. In this event you fire arrows at a target ten times. At the end of the event, all your points are added up and become your final score with a being the highest possible one.
This event takes two separate actions. The first one is the aiming, where you place the cursor on a certain point on the target. The wind speed will determine where you have to aim. The flag to the right of the target will tell you where the wind is blowing.
If the flag is pointing to the left, then the wind is blowing to the left and you will need to aim to the right of the target. Conversely, if the flag is pointing to the right, then the wind is blowing to the right and you will need to aim to the left of the target. The wind meter on the upper left corner of the screen will tell you exactly how strong the wind is blowing and will help you determine how far from the center you must aim.
The next action involves the power meter which is the blue bar to the right of the screen. The power meter contains two small white bars in it, one of which is in the center of the power meter while the other is moving up and down.
You have to click on the mouse when both white bars align or when they are as close to each other as possible. There are three attempts in this event. Each attempt requires you to do an increasing number of flips before landing in the water.
The first attempts makes you do 2 flips, the next makes you do three and the last attempt, four flips. As you start the dive attempt, you will be shown the flip combinations you will need to accomplish in the form of blue arrows formed into a circle.
These combinations include the front flip Clockwise and the back flip counter-clockwise. To do the front flip, you will need to have the mouse cursor to the right of your character while the back flip require the mouse cursor to be to the left.
Before your character dives, move your mouse cursor to the appropriate side to begin the flip as soon as possible. As your character dives, take note of the arrows in the bottom of the screen. They will guide you by turning green when you have completed a flip. You go against two other opponents in a race to the finish line in this event.
Unfortunately, there are hurdles to overcome to get to the end, literally. When approaching a hurdle, you have to click on your mouse at the right moment to jump over it perfectly.
Doing otherwise will make you hit the hurdle, putting you behind the other competitors. This is a simple event to complete but getting the top spot is a little hard to do unless you practice constantly.
Just make up for it in the other events. In this event, you have three attempts to throw your javelin as far as possible. The farthest distance you obtain will be considered your final score.
To do so, you will need to set the angle and power of your throw before launching it. As you start, you will see the angle indicator of the javelin move up and down. Click a second time to release the pole. Your longest distance of three attempts counts as your final score.
Power Lifting is one of the longer and more difficult of the events. You need to click on a moving target that arcs back and forth above you. Each subsequent round gives you less time and a faster target to hit. A good tip is to be a little patient since getting lots of misses only makes it harder to lift the weight all the way.
