Make sure you're performing the SCOM installation with a domain account. Also make sure no antivirus software is blocking the installation. Best regards, Leon. That fatal error is uncommon, it basically says something is wrong with a stored procedure You would usually see this kind of error if you developped yourself a SQL query and made a mistake, but seeing it in the SCOM installer is really weird.
Were you ever able to find a solution for this? Please upload the installation log OpsMgrSetupWizard. I stumbled upon the following older thread with similar issue: System Center Operations Manager R2 Install fails importing system. Thank you, but other than having the same error I don't see how any of that can fix my problem. The issue referenced in your link was related to code in Dynamics, and how to possibly change code to make it work.
It also refers to a KB that I have no access to as I do not have a partner login. So this is still very much an issue that I can't resolve as it happens during install. And it works all the way until the actual SCOM installation, and there's little I can do as this issue seems to be very difficult to find a solution to as most errors of this kind refers to issues with custom code people made themselves, code they can also alter themselves to resolve the error.
But my problem is related to the actual software installation by Microsoft, something not open for review or changes. No similar links or errors are helpful unless they are directly related to the SCOM installation phase since I have no options of altering anything other than on the MSSQL server, but then I would clear instructions on what to change etc.
And again, this is a brand new and fresh install of MSSQL so no prior settings or databases are present either. Same issues. So I am still at a loss.
All the ISOs and software were downloaded directly from Microsoft as I have not access to any ISOs or MSDN according to the guide, and installed for testing and evaluation purposes, but all that is useless if I can't even get the product installed with a new and default setup. If you have done all of the above and the installation still fails, you should raise a ticket to Microsoft directly. One thing I did forget was about re-downloading and extracting the installation media, and to make sure they are stored and run from a local drive on the server s.
If this is still the case your best shot is to contact Microsoft, this is not normal that it behaves like this but.
I can try with that with a clean server, but Microsoft doesn't offer SQL Server downloads anymore only the service pack for it , only I am going to do a full reset of all VMs, reinstall everything and check all prereqs again, see if something went wrong along the installation.
But I've already spent over 4 days of reinstalling and uninstalling and it shouldn't be this difficult. Table of Contents. Please see the deployment guide for the supported SQL collations.
